Hawaii Pacific University will observe National Girls & Women in Sports Day Sunday on the Hawaii Loa campus by offering clinics in eight sports for girls in grades K through 8.
Sponsored by HPU Athletics, the free event - called "Girls in Sport: An Investment in the Future" - will run from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with T-shirt and lunch included for all participants.

The college's female student-athletes, their teammates and coaches will conduct the clinics and games in their respective sports, which include tennis, soccer, softball, basketball, cheer, golf, volleyball and cross country.
